To the mysterious and unknown beyond
Bane of sages, confuser of kings
A seal only through time’s aged hand unbound
Bringing to each man according to his lot
How may we know you
So far away yet always upon us
You timeless impartial judge
You who from your silent mysterious heart
Bring to some men hope
And to some others despair
What shall I receive from you?
O you mysterious sage?
Will I have only fear?
Or is there hope in there?
